International Diploma in Computer Studies

Course Duration 12 Months

dThe IDCS is a recognised stand-alone diploma qualification in information technology offered by the National Computing Centre (NCC) but it is also the first step onto NCC Education's International Advanced Diploma. It is also considered equivalent to the first year of a degree BSc (Hons) in Computing or IT.

The syllabus has been completely reviewed with flexibility in mind. The course is not only suitable for school leavers but is also an ideal qualification for mature professionals of all ages who may be returning to study.

This diploma gives students the opportunity to ‘pick and mix’ subjects, allowing them the freedom to explore those topics which will be of most benefit in developing their career in IT.

The IDCS Diploma is an entry course level for the International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IAD). The International Diploma in Computer Studies is also recognised by other selected international Universities for Degree course credit exemptions

Entry Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 GCSE O Level passes with credit, including English or the NCC International Certificate in Computer Studies (ICCS)
  • Students who have any local or international qualification which is deemed to be a similar level to the NCC Education International Diploma in Computer Studies, or
  • For students whose first language is not English, an IELTS Certificate with score 5.5
