The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an examination jointly assessed and run by Cambridge ESOL, the British Council & IELTS Australia: IDP Australia. Candidates are tested in Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking. At BIC we offer a 6-week intensive course that fully prepares students for this exam.

Foreign students who wish to study at a British university usually need to attain an IELTS score of 6.0 before they are accepted onto the required course. Some professional organisations in the UK also require foreign practitioners whose first language is not English to achieve an IELTS score. Joining BIC will improve your IELTS score if your previous score band was less than 5.5.

General English courses offers you a balance of new language input and practice with fluency, writing, reading, listening and pronunciation, using modern course books and a wide range of our resource materials.
